Jen Elliott, MSW, LCSW

I’m an eating disorder therapist for sensitive & neurodivergent teens and adults. I specialize in helping people navigate eating disorders, disordered eating, body image distress, and chronic overwhelm.

In sessions, you’ll find me sitting cross-legged, playing with a fidget, with my brightly colored Owala filled with water and a cup of decaf coffee or tea within reach (2-3 beverage minimum, anyone else?).

I talk in Parts, and I can’t help it (and won’t apologize for it). You’re guaranteed to hear me say things like:

  • Tell me about that part.

  • How do you experience it?

  • How do you feel about this part?

  • What do your other Parts think about this Part?

  • OOOO, that Part’s a little sassy!

Using Parts language is a unique, and let’s be honest, fun way to understand and explore your internal world. I use toys, drawing supplies, and whatever else helps us make those Parts a little more visible.

I am not a blank slate therapist. You will know my reaction to what you share by my facial expressions and body language, and that’s intentional. I work with so many people who’ve been told they are too sensitive, too emotional, or simply too much. I want you to know that I’m here with you and your experiences deserve real human responses.

A lot of the clients I work with have Parts who have done a really good job keeping them out of their bodies. But your body holds so much of your story, your patterns, and your lived experience. Learning to reconnect with it can be an important part of healing and reclaiming your relationship with yourself.

I take a weight-inclusive, anti-diet, HAES-informed approach, working to create a safe space for clients to feel seen and heard, free of judgment, rules, and restriction. I’m a queer, neurospicy mixed-race Black woman, and I love working with members of the BIPOC, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ community.

Therapy does not have to be serious, sterile, or one-size-fits-all. Let’s make space for curiosity, humor, movement, messy feelings, and all of your Parts.
