Does your anxiety look like Anxiety from Inside Out 2? Thought spirals keeping you stuck? Let’s explore ways to find grounding in your mind and your body.
Session Vibes
Whether virtual or in person, sessions start with a check-in and exploration of what would be most supportive for you to discuss in session.
You are welcome to bring whatever you need to sessions to make yourself feel most comfortable and supported. This could be a beverage (I’ll have at least 2), a fidget (again, I’ll have at least 1 - and there is an entire box in my office), a blanket, or an emotional support stuffie (Penelope the Pegasus has a permanent spot on the office couch!)
And yes, you may remove your shoes, nestle under a blanket or pillow, and curse (definitely NOT an off-limits thing for my sessions!).
Practice Framework & Modalities
I’m a systems-focused therapist, meaning I can’t help but look at the broader systems that impact my clients. This includes not only their family and work/school systems, but the systems of oppression we all live under like white supremacy, capitalism, racism, fatphobia, ableism, and patriarchy.
My practice is grounded in feminism, decolonization, attachment, trauma-informed, and somatic frameworks. I utilize parts work and body-focused modalities to help clients through their healing process. I value collaboration and autonomy, so all client sessions are individualized to meet you where you’re at!
